Life is good. Now that I have stopped stressing about getting a job (by simple expedient of not even trying to get one. Very restful) I have plenty of time to do my studying, and make nice meals and go to yoga. It's amazing how much time being stressed takes. Mind you, I am mid-cycle between handing in one essay and starting to lose it about the next, so may be I shouldn't speak too soon.
I loved Quarantine like it was made of kittens! Particularly the shots of John climbing, the vertigo effect was great. Well not particularly that bit because the part where Katie and Rodney dumped each other, leaving John free to pursue the man he loves was right up there. Rodney did look a little shocked at how final Katie was making it, but that will heal :)
Keller and Ronon...someone described Keller as Carson-lite; we've had the feeble girlie who can't quite cut the apron strings already, and he did it better. He was trapped with everyone else, and was shoved from being geneticist to base doctor, and handled it mostly well, if a little wetly. She has no such excuse! She could go home any time, so surely she is made of tougher stuff than this? It is so tiresome and I think OOC, because she just wouldn't volunteer for the mission if she was that wet. So I was pretty happy to see her get stuck into blowing the doors up. MAYBE, just maybe Keller is getting some backbone. Hey I would toughen up if it looked like a snog with Ronon was on the cards. Man, he is lush.
What is this "Rodney's dry spell" crap? a. there hasn't been one as far as we've seen on the show. b. please, please TPTB, don't let this be your oh so subtle way of showing a new character development/introducing a new story arc with a sledgehammer. I like Rodney being the superhero! And god, did you see his eyes when he was looking so sweetly and nervously at Katie, right at the beginning? Hewlett can act.
