We just took a walk up to Fenchurch Street to buy our lunch. We never usually go out further than a few hundred yards at lunchtime, the engineers mutter something about the sunlight affecting their weakened eyes.

It was so beautiful outside that we ended up sitting by the river at the Tower of London for two hours! When it is sunny then Autumn is a nice time of year. We could see Mr Blaine in minature across the river, with quite a crowd underneath and Tower Bridge looked so pretty against the blue sky it could have been made out of blue and pink icing.

There was a funny letter in the Metro this morning saying that they thought that David Blaine's stunt was a waste of time - instead of a study of deprivation of food and stimuli, he was getting spoiled on a daily basis with a round of entertainment and distraction, by inventive Londoners playing Blaine-baiting!
