Two stories that play with what-if today. What if Tony didn't exist? Or what if Tony hadn't revealed Ironman's identity?

Summary:

Caught in the grips of spectacular hangovers, the Avengers wish Tony wasn't around to enable them, and a power decides to grant them their wish: a world without Tony Stark. How do you change reality back to normal without your resident genius billionaire playboy philanthropist, anyway?

This story is heart-warming and angsty. It has a seriously awesome Thor, plus awesome everyone else. I found the plot device whereby the world exists without Tony to be a little high school. But do persist past this as it is an enjoyable, plotty tale.

Summary:

Tony's decision not to reveal his identity as Iron Man to the world was shrewd and calculated. Too bad it's about to backfire on him like a Jericho missile.

Thanks to [personal profile] sally_maria for recing this one to me. I really liked the way Ironman being anonymous allowed Tony to be the kind of person he wanted to be.

What did you think? And do you have a favourite what-if to rec?
